Q:Do you practice BDSM? I don't quite understand how intense pain can be enjoyable.
Try to search for the definition of “BDSM” before you jump to any conclusions.
BDSM stands for Bondage&Discipline, Domination&Submission, Sadism&Masochism.
The only part you are referring to by “enjoying intense pain” is masochism. For instance, sadism is to enjoy inflicting pain.
If you want answers to your question, you should ask someone who belongs to the masochist category instead of me.
Q:What is your definition of true love?
- I believe that the purpose of language is to allow people to communicate with each other as concisely and easily as possible. That means that for me, words have definitions so that everyone can distinguish the same meaning of each word. If everyone uses a different definition of “love”, the word loses its purpose since you aren’t actually sharing your thoughts. You are using a word which meaning is yet to be defined. Other people don’t know your definition. Therefore, I think it makes much more sense to set a definition first and then try to share your feelings using it.
I will assume that what you are asking me is to describe my personal experience when I suffered from a feeling commonly known as “love”.
Profound and irrational affection. Need. Adoration. Obsession. Sexual desire. Ignorance.
All of the above were essential factors of what was my love cocktail mix.
